These pages highlight my personal collection of Bexley fountain pens. While
I do not have every model that has been produced by Bexley, I do have a
good representation and hope you find the photos and information both
enjoyable and useful. I would invite you to visit the Bexley web site to view
the current collections available.
I am a Bexley dealer and would be happy to help you with the purchase of a
Bexley pen of your choice. Please visit my home page for information and

The Bexley Pen Company, Columbus, Ohio, was founded in 1993 to produce high
quality fountain pens inspired by the Golden Age pens. The first model produced by
Bexley was the Original, a bandless button filled pen inspired by the bandless
Parker Duofold. The first pens produced has 14K nibs made by Minka, with the
Minka name polished away. The majority of the production had Bexley marked 14K
nibs. Feeds and sections were hard rubber. Colors included Blue Pearl, Burgundy
Pearl, Gray Pearl, Bronze, and Lime Pearl. Two different shades of Gray exist. First
year production pens can be identified by a "93" on the lower barrel and by the
single lead cap threads. Clips were made of solid gold.

1994 saw the introduction of additional Bexley models, beginning with the Giant, an
oversize pen that was available with an optional large #12 nib. The filling system
was a squeeze type similar to a Parker Aerometric filler. Initially offered as a
Limited Edition of 100 pens in each of three colors, White, Blue Pearl, and
Woodgrain, a later edition of 50 pens was offered in Gray Pearl.
Also making its debut in 1994 was another Duofold inspired pen, the Deluxe. Like the
original, the Deluxe was a button fill pen fitted with a 14K nib. Again, sections and
feeds were black hard rubber. The wide cap band and clip are solid 10K gold. The
Deluxe collection was a Limited Edition of 250 pens of each color. The Orange was
the first color to sell out.
The next Deluxe to appear was the clear Demonstrator, allowing observation of how the
button fill mechanism operated. This was the last of the button fill Deluxe pens and it
sold out rather quickly. Solid gold trim was retained for this pen in white gold.
Although out of order chronologically, the Deluxe family was expanded to include
models in Jungle Green and Mandarin Yellow. The new models were
cartridge/converter pens and the earlier Orange and Antique Cream models also
became C/C fillers. The last pens produced had 18K Bexley marked nibs.
New models for 1994 also included the Cable Twist, a classic pattern from the early
years of fountain pens. The first pens had a three groove design while the later pens
were two groove like those shown here. Colors were Blue Pearl, Bronze, and Orange.
The center pen below is in Honey, a non standard color. Early production pens were
button fillers and later made pens were C/C. The Cable Twist was a limited edition of
1000 pens in each color.
